Farrier, trainer, teacher, and ardent philosopher of the horse, and lifelong explorer the meaning of life, Stefanie Travers is also an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and Women Artists of the West.
It’s in trying to capture elegantly in oil paint, that distant faraway look in an eye, the one that pierces straight through to your soul, or silver adorning a hard working ranch horse that challenges her to convey some of the profoundness she sees everyday as she wanders about following the crumb trail of her heart.
While Travers was born and raised on Vancouver Island, she now calls the high sage hills outside Kamloops, B.C., home and shares space with her three horses, two dogs, and various paintbrush friends.
