Anita Klein was encouraged from an early age to develop her artistic talent toward a career in art. Growing up in a then rural British Columbia, Klein enjoyed riding in local horse shows and trail riding. After attending the Fine Arts Program at the Emily Carr College of Art and receiving a Degree in Design from Kwantlen College she began her career working as a commercial artist and designer before returning to Fine Art. Now working from her studio in Cloverdale, horses, nature and the western life remain favourite subjects for her art. Working primarily in acrylic her paintings evoke the romance of the West with a lushness of colour and bold sense of drama.
