Kristin is a Western artist whose passion is painting animals both in portraits and landscapes. Growing up on a mixed purebred cattle and grain farm gave her a love for livestock, wildlife and the prairies which she shares with her viewers.
Her work is characterized by bold brushstrokes and lost and found edges. She pushes a range of colors in her paintings – from soft pastels and neutrals to saturated bold colours. These characteristics foster a strong connection between the animal and the viewer. She calls Killam, Alberta, home.
