A successful designer in the residential construction industry in Fernie, British Columbia for 20 years, Leishman now dedicates herself to a thriving, professional artistic practice. As a self-taught artist she primarily creates acrylic and ink interpretive abstract paintings on canvas. Her work has been placed in several private collections across Canada and the United States and is currently represented by ESPACE33 Gallery in Gatineau, Quebec.
