Randy Neufeld was born and raised in Calgary and has always been working quietly on his artistic skill set. Exposed to all that Alberta has to offer from working on a farm to hiking in the mountains, Neufeld has always sought to express his love for all things wild or western through his art. He paints with acrylic and although much of his time is spent in the studio, he has become quite proficient at painting on scene as well and can be found packing his paints into the backcountry for the best of views. His main goal as an artist is to connect with the viewer through what Joseph Campbell called the 'shock of experience' and he finds that the harder he works the more often that happens.
